JICA's "smart barn" training

Last day, at the request of Professor Sato of Obihiro University of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine and of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), I (Utsumi) accompanied them as a lecturer for a JICA training course. The theme of the training was "Smart Barn."

Sato Ranch, where ACT designed and constructed the cattle barns, has introduced the latest robots to manage the dairy cows. Mr. Sato, the representative of the ranch, gave an overview of the ranch and explained the machinery and equipment. We saw a Clean Refre spraying device at the entrance. When the device detects a visitor, it automatically sprays Clean Refre from the overhead and foot mats, cleaning the entire body and the soles of the shoes with fresh Clean Refre. Thus, you don't have to worry about bringing pathogens into the barn. In addition, Clean Refre spraying inside the cowshed protects cows and people from infectious diseases. It's a safe space!

Sato Ranch, which raises about 180 cows, has only two employees! The latest robots manage the entire barn properly. The participants were interested in automatic tasks such as milking, feeding, and hygiene management.

Thank you for coming all the way from afar.
